QAT Global, a U.S.-based IT consulting firm with more than 30 years of experience delivering software solutions for enterprise clients, is seeking a QA Engineer (AI-Augmented) to join a strategic initiative focused on modern software quality practices.
This is not a traditional QA role.
We are looking for a QA professional who understands that AI can dramatically accelerate testing activities, but who also knows that quality still depends on sound engineering judgment, critical thinking, and disciplined validation.
In this role, you will use AI-powered development and testing tools to increase productivity, automate repetitive work, and improve test coverage, while remaining accountable for the accuracy, reliability, and maintainability of the resulting artifacts.
What You'll Do
- Design test strategies and test cases using risk-based testing principles.
- Build and maintain scalable, repeatable QA processes and automation practices.
- Develop and enhance automated test suites using modern testing frameworks.
- Perform API testing and data validation activities.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Use AI-assisted tools and coding agents to accelerate test creation, test data generation, automation development, and defect investigation.
- Review, validate, and refine AI-generated test artifacts before they are adopted.
- Create reusable workflows and patterns that improve team-wide QA efficiency.
- Analyze agent-generated outputs and execution traces to understand failures and improve outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers and other technical stakeholders to continuously improve quality practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Experience with test planning, test case design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Experience with API testing using REST services and Postman.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Ability to read and understand C# / .NET Core applications and test code.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience with AI-Assisted QA
You should have practical experience using AI tools to improve software testing activities, including:
- AI-assisted test generation.
- AI-assisted automation development.
- AI-assisted bug investigation and reproduction.
- Prompting and refining outputs from coding or QA agents.
- Critically reviewing AI-generated artifacts instead of accepting them at face value.
Examples of relevant tools include, but are not limited to:
- Claude Code
- Cursor
- GitHub Copilot
- ChatGPT
- Similar AI-assisted development and testing tools
