The Work-Based Learning Alliance (WBLA) is looking for a part-time Student Advisor and Program Administrator to support the delivery of their virtual programs that connect high schoolers with industry, supporting career exploration and critical skill development.

This role is 100% remote, with most hours taking place as follows:

Monday - 9am to 5pm

Tuesday - 9am to 5pm

Wednesday - Flexible hours

Thursday - 4 to 5 hours in the morning and afternoon

Friday - Flexible hours

We anticipate this role running from June - August.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with the WBLA team to deliver innovative programs that connect thousands of students with industry across the United States.
  • Remotely support students and industry partners using asynchronous and synchronous tools to ensure a smooth end-to-end program experience.
  • Identify student challenges and program risks in order to create solutions, including technical solutions, that ensure student success.
  • Manage and execute communication activities to various external WBLA stakeholders.
  • Support program quality by collecting, reporting and managing essential program data.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Ability to learn quickly, with experience in fast-paced environments where multi-tasking, critical thinking and timely decision-making skills are required.
  • Technologically savvy.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • High-energy self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who has the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with others.
  • Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience with coaching/mentoring high school students preferred.
