We are looking for a Solicitor or experienced caseworkers to join our highly respected and friendly Court of Protection welfare team.
Duties would include:
- Handling a range of section 16 applications and section 21A challenges.
- A wide variety of day-to-day tasks such as; taking instructions, drafting documents, securing appropriate funding, preparing witness statements, drafting instructions to experts, briefing counsel, attending court and meetings with clients.
- You will often be working with clients who are very vulnerable.
- Dealing with interesting and varied caseloads.
- The opportunity to be involved in wider public law work such as mental health, community care and inquest cases.
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for applicants who have the below qualifications and who can demonstrate:
Essential:
- Experience in the Court of Protection or transferrable skills from other practice areas.
Desirable:
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
Hours: This is a full time role, however part time hours will be considered.
Location: Choice to work from Burnley or Preston Office in a Hybrid role.
