Mechanical Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Test valves, actuators, control systems, and sensors
• Develop and execute test plans for new products
• Analyze requirements and choose appropriate test methods
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
• Estimate testing time, effort, and costs
• Improve testing efficiency and provide data-driven insights
• Coordinate external testing when needed
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and quality teams
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
• Support and guide lab technicians
• Assist with other lab tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
• 5–10 years experience with testing, test plans, and fixtures (electromechanical/hydronic/embedded)
• Hands-on with lab equipment (env. chambers, 3D tools, dynamometers, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, able to multitask independently
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• Proficient in MS Office and general computer tools
• Able to work safely with electrical/hydraulic systems
• Comfortable using tools and lifting up to 50 lbs
