Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trading Test Manager / Quality Manager to deliver enterprise testing and automation services across post trade applications and interfaces, ensuring validation of trade data, system functionality, and business processes and end-to-end verification between upstream and downstream system
Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing
Analyse business and functional requirements for changes, enhancements, and defects
Define test scope, strategy inputs, and impacted areas within the STLC
Design and execute test scenarios and test cases across trade capture, lifecycle events, counterparty and instrument mapping, and pricing validations
End-to-End Trade Lifecycle Testing
Validate full trade lifecycle from entry to downstream settlement and reporting
Ensure data consistency across integrated systems
Validate trade flow across upstream (exchanges, brokers) and downstream
Validate behaviour across amendments, cancellations, and reprocessing
Integration & Interface Testing
Validate interface messages, transformation logic, and data mappings
Test integration between Endur, TPE, and external systems
Ensure accuracy of message-based and API-based integrations
Validate exception handling and error processing flows
Test Execution & Defect Management
Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT test cycles
Create and maintain audit-compliant test documentation and evidence
Identify, document, and analyse defects including root cause analysis and classification
Deliver structured test reports including execution status, defect metrics, and release readiness assessment
Data Validation, Reconciliation & Analysis
Execute reconciliation procedures across systems to deliver validated data sets
Validate trade and financial data across upstream, ETRM, and downstream systems
Identify and analyse reconciliation breaks and data discrepancies
Deliver reconciliation reports including root cause analysis and solution proposals
Automation & Continuous Testing
Design and maintain test automation frameworks using Python
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Maintain and enhance regression automation coverage
Support continuous testing within DevOps environments
Release & Quality Assurance
Maintain regression test packs aligned to critical business flows
Support release testing and production validation
Provide test completion reports and readiness assessments
Define and report test metrics for quality governance
Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles and standards
Mandatory Qualifications (MUST)
Proven experience in functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
Proven experience in end-to-end trade lifecycle testing
Proven experience in data validation, reconciliation, and defect root cause analysis
Strong experience in Python-based test automation
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Triangle
Experience with CI/CD integration using Git-based tools
Experience in API testing and message-based system validation
Experience with trade processing systems and post trade environments
Experience with test management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
Knowledge of energy and commodity trading domain (gas, power, LNG)
Preferred Qualifications (SHOULD)
Experience with broker/exchange integrations (ICE, CME, Trayport)
Exposure to non-functional testing including performance and load testing
Experience with microservices and distributed system testing
Experience supporting continuous testing in DevOps environments
