We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified Desktop Support Technician to join CFAO Holdings South Africa.

This is a locally based permanent contract in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This position will provide first‑ and second‑line on‑site desktop support to Head Office users, ensuring reliable operation of Windows 11 workstations, standard business applications, and office IT equipment. The role is hands‑on and focused on delivering efficient, professional end‑user support within a corporate Head Office environment.

Experiential and Educational Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric

Relevant IT qualification (advantageous)

CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certification (advantageous)

2-4 years' experience in a desktop or IT support role

Proven experience supporting Windows 11 in a corporate environment

Experience providing on‑site support in a Head Office environment

Essential duties and Responsibilities

Provide on‑site desktop and technical support to Head Office staff

Diagnose and resolve Windows 11 operating system issues

Support desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals

Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)

Assist users with Teams meetings and AV/conferencing equipment

Log, track, and resolve incidents via the IT Service Management system

Resolve issues within agreed SLAs and escalate where required

Build, configure, deploy, and refresh Windows 11 desktops and laptops

Perform fault diagnostics and hardware replacements

Maintain accurate records of IT hardware assigned to users

Follow IT standards, security policies, and procedures

Maintain basic support documentation and contribute to knowledge articles
