Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to lead on the planning, coordination, development and implementation of Amnesty International's research, policy, advocacy, campaigns, vision and global strategy on economic, social and cultural rights, including migrant labour. You will manage the staff, budgets and work within the Economic and Social Justice team in order to deliver the work in line with the teams agreed strategy including on research, policy and campaigns; deliver on the diversification of the funding portfolio of the team and to manage donor relationships and reporting.
You will act as the principle policy adviser in relation to Amnesty's work on economic, social and cultural rights, providing advice and guidance to IS senior leadership and staff and to sections and structures and ensuring the development and application of legal, policy and research guidelines for the movement to follow.
LOCATION AND SALARY
The locations for this role are London, Mexico City, Johannesburg or Nairobi. The salary will be dependent on the location you are recruited in to. Relocation assistance can be provided to some locations.
