As part of the ongoing strengthening of its risk management framework and credit administration capabilities, we are seeking for an experienced Risk & Credit Administration Officer. The successful candidate will serve as a key contributor within the second line of defense, ensuring robust oversight of operational, credit and regulatory risks in a private banking environment subject to FINMA supervisory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Risk Management & Regulatory
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the risk management framework (RCSA, Risk Appetite Framework, KRIs) in accordance with FINMA Circulars (notably 2017/1 & 2023/1)
- Assess, monitor and report on operational, credit, market and liquidity risks
- Support the preparation of regulatory reporting submissions (FINMA, SNB, external audit)
- Maintain regulatory watch and drive implementation of new requirements (Basel III/IV, FinSA/FinIA, AMLA)
Credit Administration
- Oversee the administration of the Lombard, commercial mortgage lending portfolio
- Monitor credit documentation quality, covenant compliance and collateral adequacy
- Track limit breaches, margin calls and default situations
- Produce credit analyses and contribute to Credit Committee proceedings
Internal Audit & Controls
- Point of contact for external auditors and regulators on risk and credit matters
- Support internal audit engagements covering risk and credit processes
- Track audit findings and ensure timely execution of remediation action plans
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in transformation initiatives (process optimization, digitalization, system migrations)
- Contribute to the enhancement of risk management tools and methodologies
- Draft policies, procedures and board-ready reports for Senior Management
Profile
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent from a top-tier institution
- Swiss Certified Public Accountant (expert-comptable diplômé) or internationally recognized equivalent (CPA, ACCA or analogous qualification)
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience ideally in a leading audit and advisory firm
- Prior experience in audit and advisory Swiss Private Banks is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss banking accounting standards (FINMA, Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS)
- Practical experience with the FINMA regulatory environment and applicable circulars
- Banking credit experience (credit analysis, Lombard lending, documentation) highly desirable
Required skills:
- Strong command of risk management frameworks (Coso, Iso 31000, Basel iii/iv)
- Familiarity with core banking systems (Avaloq) is an asset
- Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, BI tools)
- Ability to produce professional-grade, board-ready reports and presentation
- Rigorous analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and synthesis skills
