Our client is a leading chemical and mineral processing company and it has 4 plants located in different regions of Turkey. Now we are looking for a Technology Development Manager located in İstanbul or Ankara.

The Technology Development Manager will be responsible for operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement to produce high-quality, sustainable products. The company’s goal is to maintain and continuously improve technical capabilities of production lines, workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and high-quality manufacturing practices.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Technology Development Manager to lead investments, R&D activities, vendor relations and commissioning processes. This role entails ensuring the sustainable operation of all plant functions, including production, maintenance, occupational safety, operational excellence, engineering, and asset management through leading Production Managers and Process Engineers in 4 Production Sites located in different regions in Turkey.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations with a strong focus on production capacity and efficiency, including energy consumption, maintenance costs, occupational safety standards and sustainability.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to utilize new technologies in the plants and submitting feasibility reports to company board.
- Lead digitalization projects to monitor factory performance, identify trends, and drive operational improvements.
- Building win-win long term sustainable relations with technology vendors.
- Take, implement, and improve steps that aggregates quality, operational excellence, and efficiency to enhance production standards.
- Optimize operations and maximize plant capacity while achieving cost savings and continuously improving quality standards.
- Leading new production line or improvement projects by hands on monitoring and coaching commissioning and test processes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by driving proactive initiatives across all functions.
- Lead process improvements to optimize material and energy consumption, increasing overall efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements, especially in safety, environmental protection, and quality control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline; an MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in chemical operations, rollout of investment projects, commissioning projects.
- This position requires advanced level of process knowledge specially on crystallization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Turkish.
- Experience in budget control, expense management, and investment analysis.
- Highly organized with strong planning and control abilities.
- Proven ability in teamwork and managing teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to enhance operational efficiency through data analysis.
- Strong financial acumen for submitting and monitoring feasibility studies.
- Knowledge of quality control, assurance processes, and operational excellence to ensure products meet industry standards before delivery to customers.
- Ability to use data analytics to monitor plant performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
