Objective
Lead the timely, high-quality development of electronic parts, systems, and complex wiring harness assemblies. Coordinate electrical design requirements, incorporate new technologies, and manage system interfaces and documentation.
About the Role
Serve as the technical expert and main point of contact for electrical engineering matters, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Create technical documents (e.g., requirements manuals) and present findings.
- Develop concepts, evaluate designs, and coordinate technical solutions for modules and systems.
- Define, coordinate, and modify technical specifications for function, cost, installation, and weight.
- Monitor development progress, coordinate testing, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Technically steer and schedule assigned internal and external designers within projects.
- Ensure alignment and release of wiring harness drawings, circuit diagrams, and modules from development through series production.
- Control development data in customer systems and ensure creation of proper documentation.
- Manage release timelines, change documentation, and the handover of documents to preparation departments.
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience or equivalent training.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and product development processes.
- Familiarity with industry tools (e.g., Capital Teamwork, PREEvision) and MS Office.
- Understanding of automotive standards, testing criteria, and safety regulations.
- Process knowledge specific to BMW is an advantage.
- Good English language skills.
