To accelerate our growth and strengthen our strategic partnerships, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our international Sales team.

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Account Manager, you are more than a commercial driver. You are a strategic partner, growth accelerator, and trusted advisor. You will take ownership of key international accounts with significant commercial impact, shaping long-term partnerships while identifying new growth opportunities in a fast-evolving marine landscape.

You thrive at the intersection of strategy, relationship management, and market intelligence, translating customer insights into sustainable business success.

Your main tasks and responsibilities

• Manage and further develop strategic and key customer accounts
• Define and execute long-term account strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract discussions
• Drive sustainable customer growth and identify new business opportunities
• Contribute to the development of regional sales strategies and market positioning
• Anticipate market trends and translate customer needs into business opportunities
• Act as a key commercial interface towards Product Development and Marketing
• Contribute to product roadmap discussions and go-to-market strategies
• Collaborate closely with Operations, After Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering
• Support joint customer opportunities with affiliated companies
• Represent Yanmar at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
• Share knowledge within the team and support the development of colleagues
• Take a leading role within the team when required

The ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree (technical and/or commercial preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in sales or strategic account management
• Experience or strong affinity with the maritime industry
• Proven success managing complex, international customer accounts
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to influence across functions and seniority levels
• A proactive, opportunity-driven mindset
• Excellent command of English (additional languages are a plus)

Work location

Your primary office location is in Almere, the Netherlands.
