Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for Expro’s engineering activities within a designated Engineering business area. Undertake general Engineering tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager to enable the progress and completion of related projects.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and improve mechanical products and equipment.
  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Manage engineering data and documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and product validation activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Investigate and resolve engineering issues while supporting continuous product improvement.
  • Provide technical support as required and perform other duties assigned.

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience in a related industry.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials selection, manufacturing processes, and basic stress analysis.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with oilfield or downhole equipment.
  • Familiarity with API specifications and recommended practices.
  • Experience with FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
  • Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Project coordination or leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of heat treatment, surface treatments, thermoplastics, elastomers, and composites.
