About the team

We invest in established businesses seeking expansion and growth. Since 2016, our Private Equity Venture Capital (MA Growth team) has invested over $700 million to support more than 40 growth-stage companies across technology and technology-enabled sectors.

Our investment solutions include preferred equity, hybrid and credit solutions depending on the risk profile and needs of the business. We have experience and expertise across all stages of private investment with a track record of delivering superior investment returns.

About the role

You will join our Private Equity Venture Capital (MA Growth team) team for an 8-10 week program where you will play an active role in the execution of a diverse range of transactions, working closely with senior team members.

We provide extensive on-the-job training, offering the opportunity to work on live deals, interact with founder-led management teams and establish and grow your professional network with colleagues from across the business.

You will be mentored by some of the very best and brightest experienced professionals, gaining valuable industry insight and technical skills in a high-performing environment – equipping you with a strong foundation for a career in financial services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• conducting research, analysis and due diligence on prospective new investments
• supporting founders and executive teams through strategic and operational growth initiatives
• assisting in the development of financial models and valuations
• assisting with the drafting of investment committee papers
• assisting in the preparation of fundraising and other investor-related materials
• gathering public information
• producing and maintaining various databases

About you

• You are a university student in your penultimate year of study (we will also consider applications from final year students) with strong academic results
• Your studies have a finance / business / commerce /economics / law / engineering / science / mathematics focus
• You have excellent analytical and numerical skills
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You have a curious mindset and enjoy tackling complex problems in a structured and analytical way
• You are a team player with a strong work ethic
• You are innovative, entrepreneurial and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You are interested in technology and emerging industries
• You have your own unique interests, perspectives and experience which adds diversity of thought and ideas to our team
