We are looking for a "Electrical Commissioning Lead " for our Uzbekistan Navoi Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power plants or large-scale industrial facilities.
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership experience in commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning and testing of HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, DC systems, protection relays, grounding and lightning systems.
  • Hands-on experience in FAT, SAT, Loop Check, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning activities.
  • Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems and their integration.
  • Solid understanding of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC and other relevant international standards.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant test software; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic project environment and adapt to site conditions.

Job Description

  • Lead and supervise all electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities at site.
  • Ensure commissioning works are carried out in line with project schedule, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
  • Review and approve commissioning procedures, method statements, and test packages.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Plan, monitor, and control commissioning progress, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Verify proper installation, calibration, and testing of electrical equipment and systems (HV/MV/LV, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, protection relays, etc.).
  • Manage and guide commissioning engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Maintain strong communication and interface with client representatives, EPC contractor, and third parties.
  • Prepare and hand over commissioning documentation, punch lists, and final acceptance records.
