We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of our shipping group. The role will be responsible for treasury, banking relationships, debt management, cash flow planning, reporting, budgeting, internal controls and vessel-level financial analysis.
The CFO will work closely with CEO and senior management on financing, refinancing, investment decisions and overall financial governance. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, commercially minded and capable of bringing discipline, structure and ownership to the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance, accounting, treasury, tax, audit, reporting and internal control functions.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, bank relationships, debt facilities and covenant monitoring.
- Oversee vessel-level and group-level financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Support vessel acquisition, sale, refinancing and investment decisions through financial analysis and modelling.
- Coordinate financial processes related to charter income, vessel operating costs, technical management, insurance and other shipping-related obligations.
- Strengthen financial systems, controls, reporting discipline and team structure.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to shareholders and senior management.
Qualifications
- 12–15+ years of relevant finance experience.
- Senior finance experience in shipping, maritime finance, asset finance, transportation, banking or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of treasury, debt management, cash flow planning, financial reporting and internal controls.
- Experience managing banks, auditors, advisors and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, modelling and communication skills.
- Hands-on, disciplined and commercially minded.
- Fluency in English required.
