Sales Manager – Environmental Services (Hazardous Waste)
📍 Greater Houston Area (Hybrid / Field-Based)
We’re hiring a Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-impact team focused on containerized hazardous waste solutions across the Greater Houston market.
This is a player-coach leadership role where you’ll spend the majority of your time in the field coaching reps, engaging customers, and driving pipeline momentum—while also owning strategy, forecasting, and team performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales reps to drive performance and growth
- Spend 3–4 days/week in the field conducting ride-alongs, customer meetings, and hands-on coaching
- Own pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and CRM discipline across the team
- Review and guide pricing, proposals, and deal strategy to maximize win rates and profitability
- Partner closely with Operations and Finance to align execution and customer success
- Support new business development, key account growth, and customer retention initiatives
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to adjust strategy proactively
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Sales Leader: Experience directly managing and developing sales teams (required)
- Industry Expertise: Background in hazardous waste / environmental services (required)
- Strong track record in pipeline management, forecasting, and closing complex deals
- Comfortable in a highly customer-facing, field-based role
- Ability to step in and lead immediately—this is not a “first-time manager” role
- Knowledge of RCRA or hazardous waste regulations
Bonus if you have:
- Experience in rentals, trucking, or waste-related industries
What the Role Looks Like
- Hybrid schedule:
- Monday: planning + internal meetings
- Tues–Thurs: in the field with your team
- Friday: wrap-up + office time
- Territory: Greater Houston down to Victoria, TX
- Travel: minimal (~10%)
Compensation
- Base salary: $104K – $131K (flexible beyond this range for candidate with right experience)
- Target bonus: 25%
