TotalEnergies Renewables is looking for an IT Manager. Location: Astana, Kazakhstan.

Activities

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Budget Management

  • Develop and implement the affiliate IT Strategy aligned with Business objectives.
  • Co-construct and manage the affiliate IT roadmap in alignment best practices, trends and ensure consistency with the approved IT budget.
  • Commit and control IT expenditures within approved targets; ensure proper reporting and consolidation with HQ.
  • Apply governance decisions and ensure compliance with Business strategic direction.

IT Service & Supplier Management

  • Deliver secure, cost-effective, and business-oriented IT services (including DRP, backup, secure access, data integrity).
  • Monitor operational performance of IT services and implement improvement plans when required.
  • Manage relationships with Business, HQ, and suppliers; oversee SLAs and vendor performance.
  • Supervise procurement of licenses and hardware, ensuring capacity planning and compliance.

Technical Operations & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee delivery of IT infrastructure, telecom, applications, security, and compliance activities.
  • Act as final escalation point for technical issues.
  • Ensure implementation of preventive and corrective actions, backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement and follow technological evolution.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management (Enterprise and Industrial)

  • Ensure compliance with IS security directives and local regulations.
  • Manage risk assessments, vulnerability remediation, and mitigation plans.
  • Oversee incident response, reporting to HQ, and participation in cyber drills.
  • Support audits and promote cybersecurity awareness.
  • Contribute to IS continuity planning (DRP/BCP integration).

IT Project & Portfolio Governance

  • Align local project portfolio with validated IT roadmap and governance framework.
  • Ensure proper deployment of IS-led projects and compliance with project management standards.
  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Engage during lifecycle of the projects (design, construction, operation) to ensure compliance with Company requirements

Information & Data Governance

  • Ensure compliance with information management and data privacy policies (PDP, BCR).
  • Maintain data classification framework and support cloud migration initiatives.
  • Prepare for internal and external IT audits.
  • Ensure timely reporting of data breaches and promote awareness campaigns.

ERP Coordination

  • Act as ERP focal point on technical matters.
  • Ensure smooth ERP operations, user adoption, version upgrades, compliance with IS Security and audit readiness.
  • Manage IT controls, authorizations, testing, and support escalation.

Governance, Communication & Team Management

  • Implement Company IS strategy locally in compliance with Company requirements, best practices and international standards.
  • Define, write and implement IT organization, policies, and processes.
  • Ensure timely IT reporting to business and effective communication between all stakeholders.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach IT team; ensure HSE and cybersecurity training compliance.

Digitalization and support of business

  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of digital solutions to optimize and automate business workflows across departments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess process improvement opportunities and ensure alignment of digital initiatives with organizational objectives.

Monitor the effectiveness of implemented digital solutions and drive continuous improvement through feedback and data-driven analysis.

Context and environment

  • Define and Deliver IT and Telecom Services for REN Affiliate and up tp 10 local sites and any new projects and sites
  • Understand the local and international regulation and best practices as regards as IT & Telecom services
  • The job holder hasclose and regular contacts with all divisions of theaffiliate, HQ as well as business partners and suppliers

The position holder shall promote a positive andprofessional image of IT department/Division and the Company. He/she shall guarantee the privacy, confidentiality, and protection of all data

Contextual elements: ensure the overall consistency of IS Cyber Security with the affiliate and Company strategy

Innovation / Transformation: Identify the necessary changes (technical and organizational) according to the threat and associated risks. To ensure that cyber security risk management evolves in line with technical and digital transformations.

Specific elements: Transversal activity that cuts across all domains within the affiliate

Accountabilities

  • Accountable for IT perimeter of the affiliate, including budget and contracts management.
  • Delivers at the best cost an Information System which leverages the business and the Company value according to all time scales and allocated budget.
  • Ensures efficient end to end deployments of global information system project within the predefined budget and timelines by promoting centralized and standardized solutions.
  • Complies and aligns with the Company standards, rules, and regulations
  • Oversees the availability and performance of information systems, and is in charge of promoting IT services among Business and maintaining a strong relationship with them as well as defining and communicating IT strategic goals in line with Company’s objectives
  • The activities of the affiliate’s cyber security are under line 1 with the objective of ensuring the level of cyber security of the affiliate, and the application of the cyber security requirements and strategy to the scope of the affiliate.
  • Accountable for the full cycle of IT Assets Management

Qualifications/Experience required

Education: Master degree or equivalent

Professional experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in IT

Competencies:

  • Good technical knowledge in all IT areas (telecom, Microsoft ecosystems, hardware, software, project management, service management (for example ITSM, ITIL, Cobit)
  • Strong experience in managing teams and projects
  • High level of knowledge of the main business processes and information used by all the business functions to be able to analyze the criticality of business risk arising from information security issues. High level knowledge of all IS processes, networks, and infrastructures.
  • Extensive level of skills and knowledge of information cyber security. Formal certification is not required but an equivalent level to be able to gain CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a plus

Key behavior: Good relationships ability, inc. good listening, pedagogy and ability to convince. Strong leadership capability with the ability to manage, motivate and coach team members.

Languages: English minimum B2.
