Overview
A high-growth, venture-backed cybersecurity startup is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive technical engagements and customer adoption for an AI-powered application security platform. This role is highly hands-on and focused on delivering measurable outcomes through proof-of-concepts and enterprise deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the full Proof of Concept lifecycle, from discovery through technical validation and deployment
- Partner with sales and engineering teams to drive customer success and reduce time-to-value
- Act as a trusted advisor to security and engineering leaders across enterprise organizations
- Design and implement integrations across CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, identity systems, and security tooling
- Lead technical demonstrations, workshops, and product evaluations
- Support post-sale onboarding, troubleshooting, and early-stage adoption
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer insights
Qualifications
- Experience in application security testing and security best practices
- Background supporting B2B or enterprise sales engagements
- Strong understanding of modern application environments (cloud, APIs, CI/CD pipelines)
- Familiarity with AI tools, GenAI concepts, and prompt engineering (practical exposure preferred)
- Experience working with enterprise-level stakeholders
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience operating in fast-paced or startup environments preferred
Preferred
- Exposure to penetration testing, AppSec tooling, or vulnerability management
- Experience working across AWS or cloud-native environments
- Strong consultative and customer-facing experience
- Interest in emerging AI-driven security technologies

- Base + uncapped commission
