We’re looking for a Range & Space Analyst to join our Range & Space Planning team and bridge the gap between complex data and store success. In this role you will manage numbers and translate them into actionable insights that optimize our store layouts, refine our product range, and influence our bottom line.

You will be working cross-functionally with our merchandising, category, and visual merchandising teams, you will ensure data integrity and alignment with product strategy. You will contribute to commercial decision-making by identifying opportunities and providing analysis to unlock further growth potential.

The role is ideal for someone analytical, detail-focused, and commercially curious — someone who enjoys digging into data to understand the story behind the numbers.

This is the role

This role leverages data-driven insights to assess and refine store and range planning strategies while balancing commercial and operational priorities. Based at Flying Tiger Copenhagen HQ in the heart of Copenhagen, this role reports to the Senior Business Analyst.

In this role you will:

  • Review weekly and monthly performance reports to identify opportunities for improving store layouts and overall efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage large data sets to support a range of analytical and commercial initiatives.
  • Oversee data validation processes to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of ranging information to key stakeholders.
  • Gather and manage data for new store openings, ensuring smooth and timely implementation of ranging strategies.
  • Provide analytical support for ad-hoc commercial projects and business needs.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of clear process documentation and training materials.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial leads, category managers, and the VM team to communicate insights and support strategic decisions.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of store layouts and product ranges to optimize sales density and overall commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare, manage, and validate large datasets to support store clustering, grading, and product ranging initiatives.
  • Execute and maintain timely and accurate store ranging strategies, particularly for new store openings and seasonal transitions.
  • Work closely with merchandising, category, and visual merchandising teams to ensure alignment with product strategies and data integrity.
  • Review performance reports, identify commercial opportunities, and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide analytical support for business cases, commercial projects, and other initiatives aimed at unlocking growth.
  • Maintain clear process documentation and ensure consistent communication of findings across all key stakeholders.

This is you

  • You have a genuine interest in retail — curiosity to ask questions and explore data beyond the surface.
  • You are willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced, analytical environment.
  • You have a relevant degree in Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
  • You have 2-3 years of experience in a data-centric analytical role, preferably within pricing and/or retail.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a bias toward data-driven decision-making.
  • You have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to tasks.
  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • You are proficient in English (both written and spoken).
  • You are strong coding skills in PowerBI, SQL, Python, or similar.
  • You have experience with statistical analysis and working with large datasets.

Last, but not least you are patient person and show attention to details.
