YOUR MISSION

  • Lead projects for the development of new compound flavours and flavouring ingredients based on customer requirements, primarily in the confectionery sector (beverages, dairy products)
  • Process and interpret GCMS analytical data
  • Optimize existing products and formulations
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements (especially the EU Flavouring Regulation)
  • Develop new methods for obtain extracts and flavouring substances
  • Conduct and participate in tastings and evaluating sensory tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Assurance & Analytics, Marketing, Food Law, Sales)
  • Maintain bills of materials and raw material data in the PDM system
  • Prepare product samples as needed

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Completed studies in food technology, chemistry, or a related field; alternatively, solid flavourist training or a relevant vocational education with a strong interest in flavours.
  • Ideally, 3 years of experience in flavour development for the food and beverage industry; motivated entry‑level candidates are also very welcome.
  • Strong sensory skills
  • Creativity combined with technical expertise
  • Experience with gas chromatography (GCMS)
  • Curiosity and good knowledge of flavours on the market and their applications
  • Structured, independent and goal‑oriented working style paired with a proactive, hands‑on mentality
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and resilience
  • Very good German and English skills

  • We are legally required to state the minimum salary for this position (Collective Agreement for the Food Industry, Fruit Juice Sector, VWG III/after 2 years: EUR 2,811.52). The actual remuneration will be agreed individually based on your qualifications and experience.
