Job Summary
The Consumer & Market Insights Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of market and consumer insights strategies that drive business growth, innovation, and long-term planning within the beauty industry. This role provides thought leadership, supports multiple brand teams, and builds strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including major beauty data platforms. The Manager transforms complex data into actionable recommendations, ensuring Amorepacific remains competitive and responsive to evolving market dynamics and consumer.
Principal Accountabilities
1) Strategic Insights & Business Partnership
- Develop and implement market research strategies that inform business development, innovation, and strategic planning.
- Partner with brand teams and cross-functional stakeholders to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
2) Stakeholder & Platform Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including major beauty data platforms (e.g., Circana, Euromonitor, Numerator, Revuze).
- Serve as the primary CMI contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
3) Advanced Analytics & Reporting
- Oversee the design and delivery of comprehensive market research reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Utilize advanced analytics, data visualization, and statistical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) to generate actionable insights.
4) Cross-Functional & Brand Team Support
- Act as a strategic advisor to brand teams, supporting their initiatives with tailored market and
consumer insights.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization.
5) Leadership & Influence
- Demonstrate thought leadership in consumer and market insights, influencing strategic direction and decision-making.
- Champion a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement, preparing for future team growth and capability building
Key Experience and Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years experience in market analysis or a similar role within the
beauty industry in the United States, with a successful track record of actionable market research.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and deliver actionable insights.
Proficiency in beauty market platforms such as Euromonitor, Circana, Numerator, and Revuze is preferred, along with experience using syndicated data tools and visualization software (e.g.,
Power BI, Excel).
- Communication Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a coherent and concise manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in market research tools and methodologies, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
- Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically and translate insights into potential business
outcomes.
- Knowledge of Beauty Industry: Up-to-date with the latest beauty industry trends, consumer
behaviors, and regulatory environment in the US.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in market research, statistics, business or related field. A Master's
degree would be an advantage.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
