**Job Summary:**
Buyers are responsible for procurement of goods, quality compliance and
inventory management.\
**Responsibilities:**
- Manages supply chain risks
- Builds long-term, collaborative relationships with preferred
suppliers
- Procures customized items
- Evaluates supplier quotes and services
- Evaluates supplier performance
- Identifies qualified vendors for difficult to source items
- Evaluates cost savings opportunities and present findings
- Evaluates forecasts to maintain desired inventory levels
- Prepares, issues, and maintains purchase orders for timely delivery
- Execute inventory replenishment requests
- Maintain factory shortage report
- Assists in the investigation of non-conforming materials and takes
corrective action
- Assists in the reconciliation of receiving/invoicing/billing
discrepancies
- Coordinates the return of non-conforming material
- Maintains procurement records, including ERP data and notations
- Other purchasing duties as assigned
