Cyber Security Architect

Contract Role | 12-Month Engagement | Mid-June Start | Onsite role

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to support the delivery of a major cyber security program across enterprise environments. This role will play a key part in driving improvements in cyber security capability and contributing to the implementation of strategic security initiatives.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Program Manager, you will provide expert guidance across the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of secure systems, helping to safeguard critical digital assets across both on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and guide the development of secure, resilient IT architectures across cloud, network, and application environments (including Zero Trust frameworks)
  • Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments for new technologies, systems, and applications prior to deployment
  • Define cyber security standards for Operational Technology (OT) environments
  • Establish and maintain security baselines, configurations, policies, and protocols
  • Design and support Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and Zero Trust architectures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align security architecture with business goals and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST)
  • Perform security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security posture
  • Stay up to date with emerging cyber security threats, trends, and technologies

About You:

  • Strong expertise in cyber security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, CIS)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing security architecture within enterprise environments
  • Experience working within large and complex organisations (10,000+ employees preferred)
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused language
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong team-oriented approach
