thyssenkrupp Uhde India is part of thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH, which belongs to the Decarbon Technologies Segment of the international industrial and technology company thyssenkrupp AG. It is a technology-oriented project executing company involved in the design and construction of plants for fertilizer, green chemicals, petrochemicals in India and abroad with technologies for DAP-NPK, Green Ammonia, Hydrogen etc. in its portfolio. It offers a range of services viz. EPC / EPCM / PMC and has successfully executed more than 850 projects with its technologies or from other world-class Licensors.
Functional Role:
- Operational responsibility for the provisioning, maintenance and continuous improvement of a centralized data management function within Uhde IT.
- Ensure a close alignment with relevant business stakeholders to develop AI functionalities to further improve efficiency in business processes.
- Ensure that data management and handling are compliant with applicable internal and external regulatory standards.
- Development, and monitoring of robust, scalable data solutions.
- Manage and resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Continuously monitor performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Execution of all necessary activities to ensure accessibility, usability and reliability of data platform comply with Internal security policies & standards and collaborate closely with other IT service clusters and units to ensure optimal end user experience and business value.
- Maintain documentation and audit readiness for data platforms and related data sets and documentation.
- Enforce data governance policies while ensuring secure and compliant identity and access management across the data catalog
- Assist to the management of relationship with 3rd parties such as software vendors.
- Given the global matrix IT organization and the associated international service teams you will be reporting to different Uhde stakeholders:
- Functional: IT service leader located in Germany
- Disciplinary: Leadership located in India.
- You report service-specific KPIs and overall status to your respective IT service leader.
- Executing project management tasks for small and medium-sized projects.
Experience:
- Expertise in data analytics, data structuring and data management methodologies.
- Experience with structuring large data sets within a globally operating organization.
- Associated certification(s) preferred. Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate
- Experience with modern data foundation platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric is preferred
- Proficiency in monitoring and improving data platforms.
- Strong analytical, trouble-shooting and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience in usage of collaboration platform like Azure DevOps is preferred
- Familiarity with vendor management.
Competencies:
- Expertise in data platform and associated market trends and products.
- Experience with ITIL framework (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with data security standards and applicable standards.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on service quality and user satisfaction.
- Strong passion for collaboration, transformation, data management, including data governance and analytics.
