We are looking for a Lab Infrastructure Services Engineer to support the daily operations and maintenance of Multi‑Business Engineering (MBE) product labs. This is a hands‑on contract role supporting R&D engineering teams by ensuring lab infrastructure is reliable, available, and well maintained.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in data center or lab environments who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting fast‑moving engineering teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Support MBE R&D labs located onsite in Santa Clara
• Maintain and enhance highly available lab and infrastructure environments
• Install, configure, and maintain lab hardware, servers, and lab‑specific software tools
• Test hardware boards and server components
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to switches, PDUs, and connectivity
• Perform Linux and Windows server administration and troubleshooting
• Document hardware setups, lab configurations, and best practices
• Remove and decommission end‑of‑life hardware
• Manage hardware and asset inventory using GLPI
• Support lab housekeeping and organization
• Collaborate with remote engineering teams in India to debug lab issues as needed
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision
What We’re Looking For
• Strong understanding of data center or engineering lab operations
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching
• Hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows server environments
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, servers, PDUs, and network switches
• Comfortable performing repetitive physical lab tasks independently
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional and remote teams
