The Randstad, Netherlands
At Freeday, we build digital employees that automate repetitive work so people can focus on what really matters. Our AI platform helps companies streamline processes, connect systems and bring intelligent automation to life.
Now we’re looking for a Software Engineer who wants to build the product behind those digital employees. Someone who enjoys solving real client problems, understands the product behind the code and knows how to turn messy ideas into clear, shippable work.
What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer, you’ll join our Digital Employee Management Platform squad. This is the part of Freeday that helps clients configure, coach and manage their digital employees. Think giving digital employees experiences, giving insight into their performance, tracking automatically where the gaps are, but also making setup easy and intuitive.
You bring product sense, client empathy and engineering ownership. You understand what clients are trying to achieve, translate that into practical technical solutions and help decide what we should build, configure or leave for later. Some might call you a product engineer.
This is not a role where tickets are handed to you fully written out. You’ll be involved earlier in the process. You’ll ask questions, shape ideas, write things down clearly and then help ship the solution.
Your days might look like this:
Why Freeday
We are a Rotterdam based tech scale-up with big ambitions and a team that loves building things that matter. We prefer working together at the office because the best ideas often start at the coffee machine or in front of a whiteboard.
You’ll join a curious group of people who like solving real problems and learning every day how to get better at it. No big egos. No corporate nonsense. Just people who want to build meaningful products together.
What you’ll get from us
Who you are
You are a software engineer who cares about more than just the code. You want to understand why something is being built, who it helps and whether it actually solves the problem.
You like working on product questions, but you still enjoy engineering. You can take a vague problem, ask the right questions and turn it into something clear enough to build. You are pragmatic by default. You do not overcomplicate things when a simple solution gets us moving.
