TDK is a supplier to some of the most diverse, technology based and original equipment manufacturers worldwide including global organisations within the Industrial, Medical and Test & Measurement markets.
A vacancy has arisen within our Technical Sales department for a Trainee Technical Support Coordinator working within the Technical Support Department. The scope of this role is to support our global customer base and international TDK-Lambda intercompany colleagues for both UK and TDK-Lambda group products.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are as below and will be supported by 2 years of training:
•Respond to telephone, e-mail and website enquiries from both customers and TDK intercompany colleagues.
•Source and liaise with all TDK-Lambda support networks, providing product data and answers on request.
•Select suitable products and alternatives for Global customer base.
•Assist with the configuration of products and options available.
•Maintain and troubleshoot databases used to configure TDK-Lambda UK products.
•Accurately enter and manage TDK-Lambda UK product codes on LN.
•Liaise with R&D and marketing to ensure accurate product descriptions and codes.
•Liaise with all internal departments to find and answer TLU product enquiries.
•Generate Stops, Waivers and Product Change Notification’s as and when required.
•Enter data, maintain Non-standards database and attend NS meeting.
•Attend the annual TDK-Lambda EMEA Sales conference and represent TLU.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
•This is a customer facing role, therefore, excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner are all essential.
•The successful candidate should be computer literate, previous experience using TLU databases would be advantageous.
•Maths at Grade B or 6 and English at GCSE Grade C or 4/5 is essential and GCSE Physics would be desirable.
•Ideally, the successful candidate will have some basic Power Supply and electronics knowledge.
•The ability to work as part of a team, manage workload, prioritise tasks with an interest in problem solving.
The successful candidate must be prepared to study EAL L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Electronics) through a day release at Petroc.
Working week: 37.5 hours per week - Mon to Thu 8.00 - 16.45 (30-minute lunchbreak)
Fri 8.00 – 12.30 – Flexitime would be applicable
Salary: Up to £28k per annum.
