Mission of the role
The Area Manager for the DACH region is responsible for business development, profitability, and the consolidation of the customer portfolio within the DACH market, in line with the company’s commercial strategy.
The role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
Main responsibilities
• Managing and developing strategic business relationships with B2B clients within the DACH market
• Selling flexible packaging solutions and integrated systems
• Identifying new business opportunities, new clients, and new market segments
• Negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and contracts while maintaining a strong focus on profitability
• Contributing to the definition of the area budget and achieving sales targets
• Monitoring the market, competitors, and trends (sustainability, mono-materials, innovation)
• Supporting the Regional Manager and EMEA Sales Director through analysis, insights, and strategic input
• Collaborating with internal teams (marketing, R&D, operations) to deliver tailored solutions
Ideal profile
• University degree (preferred, but not mandatory if the candidate has strong experience)
• 7–10 years of experience in structured B2B commercial roles
• Experience in flexible packaging or related industrial sectors (strong advantage)
• Fluent German (native speaker or C1/C2 level)
• Fluent English (working language)
• Strong commercial mindset and focus on new business development
• Autonomy, organizational skills, and results-oriented approach
• Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills
• Used to working with demanding and well-structured buyers
