Description

The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the materials science industry and is having the Manufacturing Technology Student Engineer in Maplewood, MN.

Position Summary:

This position is ideal for a student interested in automated inspection systems, machine vision, automation, and process data technologies within a laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Additional Details:

Pay range: $18 - $21/hour on W2 as per your experience

Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension

The expectation is part-time (~10hrs/week) during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory evaluations using inspection and measurement system technologies
  • Support development and testing of automated inspection and measurement applications
  • Design and improve laboratory equipment through mechanical and electrical machine design processes
  • Perform data analysis, technical documentation, and project reporting
  • Assist with system integration and technology development activities
  • Maintain laboratory organization, equipment, and general upkeep
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on technical projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Physics
  • Or another related engineering discipline
  • Sophomore, junior, or senior standing at an accredited university

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with optics, electronics, and system integration
  • Experience with machine design, including mechanical and electrical design
  • Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience using Dozuki or similar documentation platforms

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
