Intern - Software Engineer

Job Description

As an Intern Software engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and gain hands-on experience in software engineering. You will be involved in the design, development, and testing of software solutions that support development and integration of various aircraft systems. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the software development lifecycle and allow you to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

In this role, you will impact the development of software tools that are used to enhance Honeywell Aerospace's product development process. You will collaborate with various avionics teams to understand requirements, develop software solutions to ensure high quality and performance of the software.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and testing of tools for Avionics development
• Focus on AI usage for development of engineering tools
• Collaboration with Avionics teams to find best possible solution for their problems
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Contribute to the documentation of software requirements and specifications

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with AI solution setup and deployment (agentic AI, data prep, pre-trained models, etc.)
• Experience with programming environment that utilizes C#, .NET, Python, and SQL databases
