Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Country Manager to lead and expand our China to Europe logistics corridor. This role will be responsible for building a strong customer portfolio, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth across key European trade lanes.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in international freight forwarding (air & ocean), multimodal solutions, and cross-border logistics, with an established network of clients and partners in China and Europe.
The role can be based in Shanghai, Shenzhen or Guangzhou. Applications are welcomed from candidates located in these 3 cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the company’s China commercial footprint from the ground up
- Own and drive the commercial strategy for China to Europe trade lanes, with full accountability for revenue growth and pipeline development
- Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities with multinational and large regional clients (e-commerce, retail, industrial, automotive, FMCG)
- Develop strategic partnerships with Chinese manufacturers, marketplaces, and cross-border e-commerce players
- Drive integrated logistics opportunities combining freight forwarding, warehousing, fulfillment, and value-added logistics services across Europe
- Leverage existing network and build new strategic relationships with shippers, partners, and key decision-makers across China and Europe
- Design and sell end-to-end logistics solutions including ocean freight, air freight, rail, intermodal, warehousing, and value-added services
- Lead complex RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations in alignment with regional/global teams
- Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and overseas offices to ensure competitive and reliable service offerings
- Analyze market trends, trade flows, and competitor activities across the China–Europe corridor to identify growth opportunities
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and regular reporting to senior leadership
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and key client meetings across China and Europe
- Support the setup and scaling of the China sales office, including team development if required
- Act as the senior representative of the company in China
- Own local commercial budgeting, pipeline governance, and market expansion strategy
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 15+ years of experience in international logistics / freight forwarding, with a strong focus on China–Europe trade lanes
- Proven track record of managing large accounts and closing complex, high-value deals
- Strong knowledge of European logistics markets, trade regulations, and customer expectations
- Established network of clients and partners in China and Europe is highly preferred
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation, pricing, and contract management skills
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Ability to operate in a matrix, multicultural, and fast-paced environment
