Manager - PR & Brand Communications

StrongYes Media

Saudi Arabia

Description

Role summary: We are hiring a PR-agency–trained communications professional who understands how brands think, how PR agencies pitch, and how a newsroom decides what actually becomes a story. This role exists to make StrongYes the default media destination for PR agencies and corporate communications teams across the GCC Countries, without compromising editorial independence.

PR ecosystem & brand engagement

  • Serve as StrongYes Media’s primary interface with PR agencies, corporate communications teams, and brand storytellers.
  • Receive, filter, and evaluate brand pitches, announcements, and story ideas.
  • Advise agencies on what StrongYes covers, how to pitch, and what we will not accept.
  • Build StrongYes’s reputation as a serious, fair, and influential newsroom within the PR ecosystem.

Story development & pitch shaping

  • Convert raw PR inputs into editorially viable story leads.
  • Identify trends across pitches (hiring, leadership, AI at work, policy, corporate shifts).
  • Collaborate with editors to decide what becomes news, insight, or opinion.
  • Push back on promotional, weak, or irrelevant pitches.

Brand visibility & newsroom positioning

  • Position StrongYes as a go-to platform for workplace and employment stories, AI & DeepTech, corporate ME developments, leadership, HR and organisational change, and summits & conferences.
  • Increase StrongYes’s visibility among PR agencies, communications heads, and brand teams.
  • Represent StrongYes in PR forums, industry events, and closed-door briefings.

Editorial integrity & guardrails

  • Maintain strict separation between editorial judgement and PR pressure.
  • Ensure no pay-for-play, no advertorial dilution, and no compromised coverage.
  • Educate PR partners on newsroom ethics and boundaries.

Metrics that matter

  • Track the quality of incoming pitches (not just volume).
  • Monitor repeat engagement from top PR agencies.
  • Measure influence within the PR and corporate communications ecosystem rather than focusing on vanity reach.

Ideal background

Experience

  • 1–4 years in a PR agency or corporate communications role.
  • Strong exposure to UAE/GCC corporate, workplace, or leadership narratives.
  • Experience pitching stories to business or policy media.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong news sense with a great understanding of what editors will reject instantly.
  • Ability to translate newsroom expectations to non-media stakeholders.
