The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior sales manager - Fruit & Vegetable Ingredients.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing key customer accounts, identify new business opportunities, and ensure the efficient sourcing of raw materials and purchase of traded items. Your role will be crucial in balancing commercial growth with supply chain resilience while maintaining strong relationships with both customers and suppliers.

You already have a strong network of customers and suppliers and bring valuable relationships to the table.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key B2B customer relationships, including food manufacturers, beverage producers, and industrial clients with a focus on Dutch market, with some additional international clients.
  • Handle negotiations, pricing, and contract agreements to drive profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with growers, processors, and suppliers worldwide.
  • Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability in procurement processes.
  • Monitor commodity pricing, supply risks, and logistics to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support customers in product development and innovation projects.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, supply chain, quality and operations.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, sourcing, or procurement in the food ingredients industry.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and supplier management.
  • Experience in international trade, import/export, or commodity sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of fruit and vegetable ingredients (such as juices, concentrates, purees) and their particular seasonality.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, independent, and results-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; additional European languages are a plus.
