Job Description
Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.
We are looking for a Legal Inhouse Intern (6 months full-time) to support our in-house legal team on a wide range of legal, corporate secretary and compliance activities for Galileo’s international group. You’ll be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the General Counsel.
What You’ll Do
- Provide assistance in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g., intercompany, with clients, suppliers, partners).
- Participate in the review of contracts, policies and other legal documents ensuring compliance with the Group policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business development) on legal aspects of project development.
- Provide advice in relation to day-to-day topics (e.g., IT, privacy, compliance, labour).
- Carry out legal research to support the Legal & Compliance function.
- Timely follow up to ensure documents are processed and archived in a tidy and timely manner.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
- Undergraduate or fresh graduate in a Master’s degree in Law (preferably with a focus on corporate or energy law).
- Previous experience in an in-house legal department of an international company or in a law firm dealing with corporate or commercial matters will be considered a plus.
- A desire and a passion to contribute to the energy transition with a pan-European focus by joining a company looking to develop renewable projects across different markets.
- Native or very fluent Italian and English; other European languages are considered an important plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, discretion in treating with confidential information.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A pro-active attitude towards work in general.
- Team player, with cultural awareness and curiosity, willing to work with other functions and members of the Legal & Compliance team on joint initiatives.
