Azets UK also has national service lines (NSLs) with a focus on delivering services nationally (across the UK) to clients as well as locally. Technology Risk (in which this role sits) is part of the Risk and Technology Assurance NSL, which also includes Risk Assurance Services to clients across the UK.

The Technology Risk team is responsible for providing Internal IT Audit, External IT Audit, Cyber & Privacy, Data Analytics and Advisory services to clients across the UK and across all sectors.

The role

As part of the next phase of developing our Technology Risk service line, we are seeking an experienced Technology Risk Leader with demonstrable experience of maturing this service line from previous roles in practice and/or industry.

We Are Specifically Seeking a Director To

• Provide leadership and oversight to the Internal IT Audit portfolio in support of our Risk Assurance colleagues across the UK
• Collaboratively support the continued growth of Technology Risk as a service line
• Collaboratively support the continued growth of Advisory opportunities
• Support our Risk Assurance colleagues in their business development and go-to-market activities to enable the growth of the Internal Audit service line
• Provide line management to some more junior members of the team
• Provide input to and leadership of cross-NSL projects, initiatives and 'pillars' such as People, Growth, Quality and Operations
• Provide leadership to the service line in conjunction with another existing Director in the team

Key Accountabilities

Internal IT Audit portfolio leadership and oversight, including the Chief Audit Executive role for Internal IT Audits

• Service line leadership alongside another existing Director
• Proactively collaborate with the team to support practice and business development
• Team line management
• Support the business development efforts of the NSL and own team

Skills And Experience

• Demonstrable significant experience (i.e. 15 years+) of Internal IT Audit and Advisory services in the Big 4 or in Mid-Tier Firms, and also within Industry roles
• Has a network that can be leveraged to support business development efforts and to support the continued growth of the service line
• Significant experience in business development, both for own team and other teams (such as Risk Assurance)
• Significant experience in leading, managing, coaching and supporting the development of teams and junior team members as part of career pathways
• Significant experience which is aligned to Azets' strategic priorities in areas such as People, Growth, Quality and Operations
• Demonstrates a team-centric and people-focused ethos and behaviours
