Description

We are seeking an experienced Tender Manager to join our team in Aberdeen, leading and managing the full tendering lifecycle for complex oil & gas and energy-related opportunities. This is a key commercial role, responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary bid teams, ensuring timely and compliant submissions, and maximising win probability while managing risk and commercial exposure.

In this role, you will take on a central position in securing new projects across both traditional energy markets and the energy transition. You will act as the focal point between commercial, technical, operational and legal stakeholders, driving high-quality tender responses aligned with client requirements and company strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end tender and bid activities from opportunity qualification through to contract award
  • Develop and manage tender strategies, including pricing, risk assessment and commercial positioning
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (business development, engineering, operations, finance, legal, HSEQ, etc.) to produce compliant and competitive submissions
  • Manage bid schedules, deliverables and governance reviews to meet strict deadlines
  • Interpret ITTs, contracts and client specifications, identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and present tender recommendations to senior management for approval
  • Support contract handover to operations post-award
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, client drivers and competitor activity

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Tender Manager / Bid Manager role within oil & gas or the energy sector
  • Strong understanding of commercial models (lump sum, day rate, alliance, frame agreements, reimbursable)
  • Experience managing high-value, technically complex tenders
  • Solid contract and commercial awareness, including risk management
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids concurrently
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (preferred)
