Role Description:

As an experienced Business Manager, you will act as a true intrapreneur responsible for launching and developing Abylsen’s presence in Portugal. You will play a key role in building the business from the ground up and structuring the local organization.

Business Development:

  • Build and develop Abylsen’s client portfolio in Portugal (Industry and/or IT sectors)
  • Identify market opportunities and define the local development strategy
  • Conduct phone prospecting and in-person client meetings
  • Understand client challenges and propose tailored consulting solutions
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Promote Abylsen’s three engagement models (technical assistance, service center, work package)

Recruitment & Team Management:

  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit top consulting engineers or IT profiles in Portugal
  • Conduct interviews and select high-potential consultants
  • Build, manage, and grow your local team
  • Support and retain consultants through active career follow-up
  • Foster a strong team culture and engagement

Business Unit Management & Growth:

  • Launch and structure Abylsen’s operations in Portugal
  • Manage and optimize the profitability of your business unit
  • Monitor performance indicators and drive sustainable growth
  • Define and execute a clear development roadmap for the country
  • You will report directly to the Group’s international leadership

Compensation:

Profile:

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (Engineering or Business School)
  • Fluent Portuguese and English, French is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Business Manager in engineering consulting
  • Strong track record in business development and client acquisition
  • Experience managing consultants
