Job Description

As a Senior Perception AI and Software Engineer, you will design and develop multi-modal perception and reasoning systems for robots, vehicles, and autonomous platforms. This role involves working across the full stack—from raw sensor data to decision-ready outputs—while ensuring models operate reliably on real-world edge hardware.

You will take ownership of end-to-end system development, from experimentation to production, contributing both to deployed products and the scientific direction of the company.

Responsibilities

System Design and Development:

  • Design and train multi-modal perception and reasoning models
  • Work across the full stack, from raw sensor data to scene understanding and decision-ready outputs
  • Deploy models onto edge hardware where latency, power, and reliability constraints dominate design decisions

End-to-End Ownership:

  • Own end-to-end system development, from initial experimentation to production rollout
  • Own training, evaluation, and deployment decisions for the models you build

Collaboration and Technical Leadership:

  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship within the engineering team

Research and Contribution:

  • Publish, prototype, and deliver production-ready solutions
  • Contribute to the scientific narrative of the company through papers, talks, and open-source work

Qualifications

Education: MSc or PhD in a relevant field (or strong intent to pursue one) is highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in deep learning and software development. Proven experience deploying and maintaining models in real-world systems, where performance is measured under latency, reliability, and resource constraints — not only on offline benchmarks.

Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in English

Technical Skills:

  • Core Technical Foundation: Strong background in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Autonomous Systems, or Signal Processing; experience with modern deep learning frameworks and Python; strong software engineering fundamentals
  • Perception and AI Systems: Experience in 3D perception, multi-sensor fusion, or embodied AI
  • Deployment and Optimization: Experience in edge deployment, including model optimization, quantization, or real-time inference
  • Ecosystem and Contribution: Contributions to open-source robotics, simulation, or machine learning projects; familiarity with or publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICRA, RSS, or CoRL

Competencies: First-principles thinking and critical reasoning, awareness of real-world system limitations and failure modes, ability to read, synthesize, and communicate complex technical ideas clearly, high ownership and accountability, pragmatic approach with focus on delivering production-ready solutions
