Our family is looking for a "Senior Menswear Designer".

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of English is mandatory (Italian, French or Spanish is a plus).
  • The ability to sketch and design by hand and on computer.
  • The ability to produce accurate and detailed garment technical specs suitable for manufacturers’ understanding.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of fit, functionality, performance and standard measurements.
  • Demonstrated history of working with the Merchandising, and Product Development teams to create and finalize compelling, market relevant men’s wear collection that addresses the brand promise of comfort, fit and durability.
  • Excellent product-oriented knowledge and mindset to create a men’s collection from scratch with every aspect from style creation, fabric sourcing/selection, fit creation by following the trends and melting it in the same pot with brand’s heritage.

Job Description

  • Being a part for planning and executing the entire product design process in menswear from scratch; including market research, identifying trends, mood board creation, designing, sketching, and material scouting.
  • Implementing brand-product consistency within the business strategy, through future-forward thinking with an emphasis on sustainability; aligned with international/domestic concepts and fashion trends as it relates to market demands, company image and brand DNA.
  • Highly effective organizational skills; taking guidance, feedback, and critique easily with an ability to multi-task while adjusting to changing environments.
  • Execute solid understanding and consistency of corporate brand guidelines with a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to final product, including sketching, prototyping, and final production.
