– The Ops Officer will act as a “liaison” officer on behalf of the company towards our clients.
– He / she will instruct and guide, the build-up of the cargo in coordination with the “Shift Leaders” and Duty Manager.
– He / she must be able to communicate, accurately and efficiently, with all internal departments and clients.
– He / she will provide / issue all flight papers, required by the customer.
He/she is responsible for reporting any (potential) problems, possible improvements, ideas or feelings that could help contribute to the continuous improvement of well-being at work, safety and quality. This can be done through all available reporting channels (application, oral, e-mail, letter,…) confidentially, anonymously or by name.
Responsibilities
– Coordinate and supervise all cargo-related functions associated with flight handling.
– Daily coordination with the client to meet their goals, special attention to:
– To organize / optimize the W/H and RAMP activities, in coordination with the shift leaders and Duty Managers while respecting safety, productivity and quality objectives.
– Follow-up flight schedule, set up HOTAC, crew transport and in-flight catering, if requested by the airline.
– To prepare a Weight & Balance and Load Plan, accounting for all of the planned load and with consideration to all A/C restrictions.
– Ensure that the flight crews receive all information and PPW they need (ZFW, NOTAM, METEO, GEN-DEC).
– To achieve an “ON TIME” performance.
– Respect and follow handling procedures linked to the CEIV certifications (Pharma-Live animals-Lithium batteries) based on the SLA and SOP linked to the CEIV certifications and as par the given trainings.
