Overall Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Workshop Maintenance Technician to join our Well Testing & Commissioning product line based in Stavanger. Working within a workshop environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, repair and preparation of a wide range of well testing and commissioning equipment, ensuring it is fully compliant with company standards and ready for operational deployment.

This is a senior, hands-on role that will also involve providing guidance and on-the-job support to technicians, contributing to safe and efficient workshop operations.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

  • Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, including fault diagnosis and repair, in line with work plans and company quality and certification standards
  • Prepare and maintain equipment to ensure it is operationally ready and compliant with company and industry requirements
  • Assist with the rigging up, building, and rigging down of equipment as required
  • Inspect equipment and complete all associated documentation, ensuring accuracy and correct revision control in line with company procedures
  • Support the direction, basic job training and task supervision of technicians within the workshop
  • Ensure all job packs are fully completed, updated and returned to the Supervisor at the end of each work period
  • Liaise effectively with the Supervisor, team members and operations personnel to ensure work schedules are clearly communicated and tasks are completed safely and efficiently

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

  • Recognisedtechnical qualification (mechanical, instrumentation or similar)
  • Proven previous experience working within a workshop environment, ideally supporting oil & gas equipment
  • Strong background in maintenance, diagnosis and repair of complex equipment
  • Previous experience with DAQ systems would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to junior technicians
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance
  • Proactive, safety-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team
