Overview:
- The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the MED Division in alignment with global business objectives. This role works closely with internal stakeholders including Sales, Product Specialists, and regional teams to identify market opportunities, strengthen product positioning, and drive business growth.
- The Head of Marketing will lead marketing initiatives across portfolio strategy, commercial excellence, and multi-channel marketing campaigns while ensuring effective execution of marketing programs. The role also involves leading and developing the local marketing team to deliver impactful marketing outcomes and support sustainable business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Local SBU Strategy and Digital Business
- Develop and execute local go-to-market strategies in alignment with global SBU strategy and regional priorities.
- Identify business opportunities through market analysis and industry trend monitoring.
- Drive digital business initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement and market reach.
- Lead Commercial Excellence initiatives including customer segmentation, targeting strategy, sales force effectiveness, and demand forecasting.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships to strengthen market presence and support business growth.
2. Portfolio strategy
- Collaborate with Product Specialists and Sales teams to strengthen product positioning and value propositions.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to generate market intelligence and support evidence-based portfolio strategies.
- Partner with Product Specialists and Regulatory Affairs (RA) to support new product launch initiatives.
- Work closely with the Division Manager to manage portfolio performance and P&L.
3. Marketing Campaigns and Programs
- Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels including digital, B2B, B2C, and B2B2C.
- Plan and execute marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, and seminars to promote ZEISS products and solutions.
- Manage multi-channel marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and generate business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective campaign execution.
4. People Leadership
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the marketing team.
- Develop and coach team members to strengthen marketing capabilities and performance.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture aligned with company values.
Qualification:
1. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master’s degree is preferred
2. Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience with a strong background in marketing and commercial strategy
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B and/or B2C marketing
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is preferred
- Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive business growth.
