Principal MLOps / ML Platform Engineer On-site, Doha (Qatar)
We are one of the largest banking groups in the region, building a centralized AI/ML infrastructure across the entire ecosystem (HQ + subsidiaries).
This role is for a Principal / AVP-level engineer who remains hands-on and takes technical leadership without people management responsibilities: setting standards, growing team expertise, and building the platform that will power all ML workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build production-grade MLOps on Azure Databricks:
- CI/CD for ML
- Deployment and orchestration
- Monitoring (drift, performance)
- Reproducibility
- Develop Feature Platform (Feature Store):
- Offline / online consistency
- Lifecycle management
- Standardization and documentation
Technical Leadership:
- Drive ML engineering culture
- Introduce and enforce best practices
- Support DS/DE teams in bringing models to production
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in MLOps / ML Platform / ML Engineering
- Proven experience building production ML systems (end-to-end)
- Strong expertise in CI/CD for ML, monitoring, and orchestration
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks / cloud ML platforms
- Experience building Feature Store / Feature Platform
- Understanding of banking or fintech domain (strong advantage)
- Principal / Senior+ IC level
- Stable career track (no frequent job changes)
- Experience in mature / well-known companies
- English — C1
