Main Responsibilities

  • EHS Leadership - Provide environmental, health, safety, and security leadership for Suzhou plant operations, driving a strong EHS culture across the site.
  • Compliance & Governance - Lead and facilitate technical and administrative activities to ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and MESH (Management of Environmental, Safety, and Health) requirements.
  • Responsible Resource & Waste Management - Select and implement fiscally and socially responsible methods for managing natural resources and waste.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation - Continuously identify, assess, and eliminate or reduce EHS risks, including security-related risks.
  • Environmental Footprint Reduction - Deploy and sustain initiatives to minimize the plant’s environmental footprint.
  • Government & Regulatory Engagement - Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities, including managing voluntary certifications, maintaining environmental permits, submitting required reports, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Training & Employee Engagement - Deliver timely EHS training and actively promote employee involvement in EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Incident Investigation & Corrective Action - Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, releases, and accidents; determine root causes; and develop or direct corrective action plans.
  • Emergency Response Preparedness - Develop and maintain emergency response plans to protect the environment, employees, and the community.
  • EHS Communication - Serve as the primary communicator of EHS messages, updates, and initiatives to employees and site leadership.

Requirement

  • sBachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
  • .Minimum 6 years of EHS experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role within a foreign-owned manufacturing environment
  • .Strong knowledge of EHS management systems and frameworks
  • .Solid understanding of applicable EHS laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • .Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, training, and mentoring skills
  • .Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • .Good command of written and spoken English
  • .Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • .Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
