Role Title: Construction Manager
Duration: 12 to 18 months contract
Work Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Rate: $80/hr to 100/hr on W2 + 15 PTOs/year
Explain a typical day in the role.:
Morning:
Review emails and weekly reports to understand project status, fiber testing results, and any risks or constraints (materials, schedule shifts, failures).
Midday Coordination:
Work across vendors, GCs, and internal teams to resolve issues, push approvals, and keep projects moving (materials, schedules, scope).
Meetings (Core of the Day):
Site/project meetings to track progress and action items
Metro syncs to align across campuses
Network/technical syncs for readiness and deployment
Afternoon Execution:
Focus on field-related work—reviewing testing, troubleshooting fiber issues, coordinating installs, and resolving blockers impacting delivery.
End of Day:
Update notes, track action items, review schedules vs milestones, and prepare for next-day priorities using structured task tracking.
What is the ideal background of a candidate for this role?:
Strong technical background in data center, fiber, or networking infrastructure (including testing, cabling, and design standards)
Experience in construction or project delivery, working with GCs, vendors, and managing milestones, documentation, and handoff requirements
Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams (engineering, ops, EHS, security, vendors) and drive execution
Focus on risk, safety, and quality, ensuring builds meet standards and are production-ready
Strong organization and program management skills, handling schedules, BOMs, reports, and action tracking
