Are you currently enrolled at a university (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) and need to complete an internship of more than 4 weeks as part of your curriculum ?

The Laboratoire national de santé offers a certain number of places each year for compulsory internships as part of studies leading to a healthcare profession.

About The Laboratoire National De Sante

The Laboratoire national de santé (LNS) is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Social Security in Luxembourg. As a multidisciplinary institute, the LNS comprises four diagnostic departments in the fields of clinical biology, microbiology, forensic medicine and public health. It also houses two national centres, one in the field of Pathology and the other in the field of Genetics. All activities are supported by support services forming the administrative and financial department.

The LNS’s mission is to develop analytical and scientific expertise relating to the prevention, diagnosis and surveillance of human diseases, to act as a national control or reference laboratory, and to carry out forensic tasks. The institution also contributes to the development, harmonisation and promotion of laboratory technical methods in close collaboration with local and international analytical laboratories. As part of its responsibilities, the LNS also carries out research and teaching activities in collaboration with partners in Luxembourg and abroad.

Equipped with a modern infrastructure in line with recent developments in medical and analytical sciences, the LNS is an ambitious laboratory whose innovative projects strengthen its expertise in public health.

If you wish to apply for an internship, please send us your CV with a cover letter describing your experience. Do not forget to specify in your cover letter the desired profession and department, the duration of the internship and the period during which it must take place.
