  • Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Business Division Manager

Job Purpose

The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of a large team of Insurance Sales Agents with functions covering sales strategy development and execution, performance monitoring and reporting, and ongoing Agents training in collaboration with the HR Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the achievement of specified sales targets through daily administration, management and motivation of a distribution network of insurance sales agents.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of Sales Agents by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, and sales team meetings.
  • Ensure that all Sales Agents work in accordance with selling guidelines and principles prescribed by the Company.
  • Provide ongoing training for Sales Agents to equip them with sufficient knowledge to present information on the company’s products accurately.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target institutional clients to drive the company's sales to them.

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree holder with at least 3 - 5 years working experience, ideally with exposure to sales and distribution

Person Specifications

  • Sales planning and pipeline execution skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills in English, with the ability to speak at least one local Ghanaian language
  • Self-driven with well-developed leadership skills preferably with experience directly managing junior staff
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment
  • Experience in the telecoms or financial sector will be preferred, but not mandatory
