Erbil Governorate, Iraq
As the Head of the Scientific Council for Public Health at the Kurdistan Board of Medical Specialties, I am deeply engaged in advancing research, education, and evidence-based practice in the field of Community Medicine and Public Health. I serve as a Professor at the College of Medicine, where I teach and mentor postgraduate students in research methodology, nutrition and health, health education and communication skills, biostatistics, and epidemiology. My academic work bridges data-driven analysis with practical public health solutions. In addition to my academic and leadership roles, I have extensive experience collaborating with international NGOs and UN agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO), on projects focused on community health, disease prevention, and capacity building. I hold a PhD-equivalent Fellowship from the Iraqi Board for Medical Specialties in Community Medicine and Public Health, reflecting advanced training and expertise in biomedical research, epidemiological methods, and health systems development. My passion lies in using biomedical data analysis to inform public health policies, improve population health outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making at national and international levels.
