A strategic thinker with practical implementation experience Experience of successfully leveraging strategic partnerships and cross-functional teams to quickly deliver solutions that meet organizational needs Experience providing leadership, guidance and solution to complex business and IT problems in healthcare and media Expertise in SOA full lifecycle management including business process design, development and optimization. Extensive hands on experience • SOA • Integration strategy and implementation • Objected Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns – SOLID, MVC • Dockers Kubernetes • Cloud - Azure, AWS • Smart/rich client AJAX and Silverlight MVC • c++, c#, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Html, css, xslt • Sql Server, PostgreSQL, database design and optimization • Windows, Linux I have played a major part in designing and implementing a mission critical Patient Administration and Clinical Record Management System widely used in the Palliative Care in the UK. I am always keen on implementing innovative ideas. I start with proof of concept and progress through pilot stage before implementing in the production environment. I am a keen learner and spend considerable effort and time in continuous professional development. I regularly attend seminars and conferences and read journals.
I took on the role of leading the development of an innovative mission critical solution to streamline multi-disciplinary teams providing holistic health care services. I worked with stakeholders and users gathering requirements to design the system. The solution leverages SOA to implement user-defined workflows that are becoming increasingly important with the changing regulatory environment in the hospital landscape. Optimized database design coupled with caching, predictive loading and asynchronous communication delivers compelling user experience and sub second response time. I led the development of a state of the art rule engine to implement user defined workflows. This allowed the management to design and document the pathways. I implemented Medical Interpretability Gateway access using web services to provide real time interoperability with GP systems and other healthcare professionals within the NHS. I lead the development of web based user defined data collection module that allowed the end user to create their own forms to detail every aspect of patient’s information. This proved very popular as it enabled the user to collect and analyse custom defined data. I lead the development of real time drug interaction warning system from concept to implementation. This would trigger a warning if the clinician prescribes a drug that interacts with the current regime. I introduced business intelligence and data visualization tools to help decision making process. This greatly enhanced the reporting capability. I implemented auditing module, a middle-tier component, allowing tracking modifications of data and storing audit information in human-readable form. I designed and implemented granular authorization module that allows staff access to their patients only during their period in the particular unit.
Software Medical Informatics delivers information-based solutions to health care organizations. I left the company as Lead Solutions Developer/Architect where I was responsible for leading the development of a patient administration system. During my 12 years at SMI, I contributed in various positions toward establishing the core product as one of the market leader in the Palliative Care market in the UK. I led the development of a ‘Take it with you’ version of the system that allowed the mobile user to replicate selected data on a laptop and take to the patient home. I introduced OLAP and pivot table reports that greatly enhanced the traditional reporting.
