With over a decade of professional experience, I currently lead operations as Section Head of Mechanical Workshops at PNS KARSAZ. My role involves overseeing the maintenance of approximately 200 machines across seven workshops, ensuring their optimal performance. I focus on technical administration, strategic planning, and resource management to facilitate critical technical training for 2,400 sailors during both peace and wartime operations. I have a proven track record of team leadership, planning, budgeting, and forecasting in high-stakes roles. My contributions extend to infrastructure projects, maintenance audits, and technical training programs for naval personnel. Managed operations & maintenance of around 200 machines/ equipment installed in seven mechanical workshops. Ensure effective utilization of workshops with respect to technical training of around 2400 under training sailors during peace and wartime tasks especially during Operation Bunyaan-Ul-Mursoos in May-2025. Directed construction/ repair projects of sailor barracks and workshops executed through Military Engineering Services (MES). President of Maintenance Management Audit Team and conduct bi-annual audit of other Pakistan Navy Units under command of Commander Karachi. Conduct and manage mid-career technical trainings of Chief Petty Officers, Petty Officers and Leading Rate of Pak Navy and International navies of Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Procurement planning of workshop’s training equipment as per future PN vision and fleet induction. Special Event Management Deployment in Pakistan International Exhibition and Conference (PIMEC) - 2025 Member of Organizing team of Pakistan International Maritime Exhibition and Conference (PIMEC) 2025 and carried out following: Oversaw invitations and their acknowledgements extended to Military Chiefs and Ministers of 110 countries, Pakistan’s Military personnel, Federal & Provincial Ministers, Bureaucrats, VVIP’s, Government officials, Foreign diplomats, Counsel Generals, Ambassadors, Defence and Military Attaches of different countries. Supervised entry facilitation services at event venue of international delegates of 31 countries, 35 international participating firms, 73 local firms and around 15,000 local and international guests and visitors. Coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies with respect to security clearance of guests.
Director of Jinnah Naval Base Fire Brigade department including around 80 Fire Fighting staff and operations and maintenance of seven Fire Brigade vehicles. Ensure safe operations & maintenance of electrical & mechanical equipment of the unit. Managed and audited different non-public fund accounts and contract agreements of contractors. Ensure operations and maintenance of Mechanical Transport including Heavy Earth Moving Machineries. Plan and Supervise Civil Engineering construction and maintenance projects through Military Engineering Services (MES) within unit’s AoR. Ensure fresh water provision to PN Fleet at berth. Administration of Naval Service accommodation areas of Officers and Sailors in Ormara. Headed two post flood restoration efforts at Basol Pumping Station (located 38 km west of Ormara city). Led emergency firefighting operations following heavy cargo vehicle road accidents on Makran Coastal Highway. Led excavation of rain harvesting ponds in Jinnah Naval Base to collect rain water for domestic use (approx. capacity 250,000 gallons) Organization of Residential Committee meetings of Naval accommodation areas of officers and sailors. Organization of Best Sailor Residential Block competition.
• Provide assistance to Senior Leadership to maintain optimum Plant Efficiency, Availability & Reliability along with the status of “Zero Harm Workplace” • Assist Shift Manager and Head of Department for organizing and supervising all activities of plant operation. • Conditional Monitoring of different parameters of power plant equipment and Conducting Root Cause Analysis & Investigations of their major faults in order to reduce them. • Experience of startup and supervision of combined cycle project involving 32 Waste Heat Recovery Steam Generators, 9.56 MW Steam Turbine with other Balance of Plant. • Worked as team member in acquiring certification of ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System for the power plant along with supervising heat rate test of power plant in both open and combined cycle configurations. • Developing Standard & Emergency Operating Procedures of equipment. Special Projects: Supervision of construction, erection and commissioning of combined cycle project involving 32 Waste Heat Recovery Steam Generators, 9.56 MW Steam Turbine with other Balance of Plant. Worked for acquiring following certifications: ISO 9001:2015 QMS. ISO 50001:2011 EnMS. ISO 14001:2004 EMS. OHSAS 18001:2007. Supervision of de-commissioning and removal of old Brown Boveri Corporation (BBC) 11/ 33 KV switchgears and 132 KV SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgear. Supervision of erection and commissioning of Alstom 132 KV SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgear. Supervision of de-commissioning and removal of old 05 x 25 MW Hitachi Frame-5 Gas Turbines (make 1968).
•Planning Preventive Maintenances of 32 Gas Engines through SAP Plant Maintenance Module (Version ECC 6.0) based on operating hours. •Monitoring of different parameters of engines influencing its efficiency through operational trending data, values & their graphical charts obtained from Modern Distributed Control System (DCS). •Maintaining records of Preventive & Corrective maintenances and troubleshooting of breakdowns of engines. •Assisting HSEQ department in audits of QMS ISO 9001:2008 & EMS ISO 14001:2008 certifications. •Maintaining Daily, Weekly & Monthly Generation Report & monthly generation record for NEPRA. •Maintaining Plant Head, Departmental Heads & Manager level KPI’s.
Responsibilities: •Identifying wastages in Safety Gloves manufacturing process & eliminating them through different Industrial Engineering Tools & Techniques. •Applying Quality Control Tools to maintain & improve quality of finished products. •Implementing “5 S Philosophy” on working floor to minimize non-value added activities of work force. •Designing & Modifying safety glove making machines and their layouts as part of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) Philosophy in order to increase production rate. •Proposal of a suitable humidification system for maintaining controlled environment for 1000 above glove knitting machines
